The Loosdrechtse Plassen are worth a visit
Loosdrecht is known for the Loosdrechtste lakes. These lakes are almost in the backyard of Amsterdam and Utrecht. They are known as a great water sports area, but also offer peace and quiet Silence. There are no less than seven different pools. Every reason to rent a boat and enjoy it from the water.
The Mijndense Sluis
The Mijndense Sluis is the most important gateway from the river De Vecht to the Loosdrechtse Plassen with about 20,000 passing (pleasure) boats per year.
The Vecht
In the golden age, wealthy Amsterdammers built country estates along the Vecht. They give the Vecht a special charm, which is further enhanced by the greenery along the river. The northern part of the route takes you along the banks of the Vecht and the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. The southern part takes you to the romantic Slot Zuylen and through the Molenpolder near Maarsseveen.
